Historically Bangladesh has a reputation for producing quality garments at attractive rates. Nearly 200 years ago ‘Dhaka Muslin’ was the most valuable fabric on the planet. Muslin used to be exported to Europe & American market from Bangladesh for much of the 17th and 18th century.
From 1970 onwards Bangladesh has been producing garments in modern forms. Now Bangladesh holds the 2nd place in producing garments just after China. Bangladesh is the world's second-largest apparel exporter under western fast fashion brands. Sixty percent of the export contracts of western brands are with European buyers and about thirty percent are with American buyers, and ten percent to others.
There are about 5000 garment
industries in Bangladesh and 75 percent of them are in Dhaka city alone. From
5000 industries apparels are being exported to all over the world specially to
European & American markets. M S Apparel Sourcing is making
bridge between international buyers and these local 5000-garment industries,
and also sourcing suitable supplier-based required products to the buyers. MSAS
is supporting buyers’ step by step, beginning from a product idea/design to the
completion of garments at buyer’s store. It is located at the center of the
garments zone of Dhaka-Bangladesh, in its own building.
